For many of us the riding season is still in full force, but there others who are patiently awaiting the upcoming opportunity to get back into the saddle as they say. Here are a few things that you will want to make sure you have the right gear for the upcoming riding season.

One thing that you want to make sure you do is find the right gear for your motorcycle trips that will surely take place in the spring. If you already have gear, then dont be afraid to check everything over in order to make sure that it is in good condition.

There are a number of different leather items that you should have in your rider wardrobe. The most important item of course is the leather motorcycle jacket. Your jacket is what separates you from the pavement when an accident occurs so make sure your jacket is in good condition.

Boots are also a very important piece of gear that you should check before heading out on your motorcycle. Your boots should not have holes in them, nor should they be so worn out that there is no tread left on the bottom of them. You dont want to slide off of your foot peg while going 65 mph down the highway. That would not be good.

Also, leather gloves are just as important as boots for the simple fact that they can keep your hands warm and protected from flying objects. Make sure you have your gloves still and that they are in good condition. Losing items like gloves can happen pretty easily if you have a long break between riding seasons.

Other important motorcycle gear items that you should check on include your helmet, goggles or glasses, chaps, vests, hats, and any other item that you frequently wear while out on your motorcycle.
